BPM is the world’s largest event dedicated to DJing and electronic music production. Visitors include DJs, producers, performers, promoters, venue owners/managers, equipment retailers/installers, record label representatives, students and many others who simply have an interest in DJing or electronic music.
The first BPM took place at Donington Park Exhibition Centre back in 2007. Over 2200 visitors came for two days of equipment demonstrations, networking, seminars, workshops, live performances and DJ sets. A second show in 2008 firmly cemented BPM as a major event on the global DJ calendar and prompted the move to a bigger home at the NEC in the thriving city of Birmingham. With direct links via road, rail and air BPM is now easily accessible to visitors traveling from across the UK, throughout Europe and from even further afield. Since the move, BPM has gone from strength to strength and BPM 2011 was the biggest yet, welcoming over 7000 visitors from 16 different countries.

From Saturday the 6th of October until Monday the 8th of October 2012 BPM will once again brighten up Birmingham with the sound of electronic music. The show promises to be the biggest and best so far and is not to be missed!

What Will You Discover?

The main EXHIBITION area at BPM features the world’s leading manufacturers, distributors and niche suppliers, ready to present their latest innovations in DJ and production technology. The exhibition floor is filled with stands offering everything from mixers to PA systems and lighting effects to DJ software. Each stand is manned by helpful industry representatives ready to assist you in choosing the right product for your needs. Perhaps the best thing about the exhibition area is that it’s all hands on, with most stands including fully interactive displays so you can try before you buy.

PERFORMANCE and demonstration areas throughout BPM play host to DJ sets, PAs and live perfor-mances, together with product and technique demonstrations across the weekend. Every year BPM invites an eclectic line-up of established DJs and performers, as well as the next generation of up-and-coming artistes, to showcase their talents.

An extensive selection of inspirational seminars, hands-on workshops and interesting panel sessions also contribute to the unique BPM experience. The EDUCATION content at BPM is included in the ticket price and offers insight and inspiration to everyone from absolute beginners to seasoned pros. This varied and engaging educational programme is sure to help you move to the next level of your DJ or music production related hobby or career.

BPM is also the ideal place for NETWORKING with other DJs, producers, performers and entertain-ment industry professionals. It’s the place to meet like-minded people, share ideas and be inspired to move forward. Plenty of venue owners, promoters and agents also attend the show, which makes it the perfect place to make contacts with people who can help you make the next step in your music career. To help with making new contacts a dedicated networking zone called the Hub will make its debut at BPM 2012.
