August is probably the biggest month on the clubbing calendar. Everyone is jetting off around the world, hitting the clubs and Ibiza is in full swing. Not one to overlook the momentous occassion, we’ve got a special guest mix to keep your cockles warm until the next episode of Funky House Finesse (scheduled for Bank Holiday Weekend).

This month we present an upcoming DJ from Leicestershire, UK, who caught my attention the other month when we sent over a mix after dusting off his decks and records for a well earned comeback. I was impressed with his track selection and ability to take listeners on a journey through a wide range of house genres. The man in question goes by the name of Mr Ben Spencer.

During the late 90s and early Noughties, Ben was a fresh-faced and eager house DJ. Barring a handful of pub/club appearances, his exploits were largely confined to the bedroom. His love for house music dwindled somewhat, but is now back with a vengeance in 2010. Ben is also a drummer, movie lover, gamer, football fan and lager drinker.

Ben has produced a special two hour guest mix for Funky House Finesse this month chock full of astounding house tracks, ranging from minimal to tribal through to disco, electro and finally chillout. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the mix as much as we have.
