Robbie Rivera celebrates ‘Dance Or Die’ album
Sounding like a manifesto for EDM and a call to once chart-topping pop and hip-hop artists to evolve or fade into the background, the title to Robbie Rivera‘s latest album, ‘Dance or Die‘ (out now on Black Hole Recordings), sums up all that is going on Stateside at the moment.
With the start of the year spent touring with Bass Jackers and Peace Treaty on his Dance Or Die Bus Tour, this winter saw the eighth edition of his Juicy Beach Party at WMC in Miami, a 17-hour affair at the jammed Nikki Beach Club. Having welcomed A-list DJs like Kaskade, Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, Axwell, Steve Angello, Mark Knight, Sebastian Ingrosso, Laidback Luke and many more over the years, and spawned spin-offs at Amnesia (sponsored by Armani Exchange) and Privilege in Ibiza, as well as Catwalk in Barcelona, this year marks the historic debut of Juicy New York.
Turning Governor’s Island into a swarm of dance music fans from 4pm in the afternoon until midnight, the line-up – which won’t be released until closer to the time – but you can be sure it’ll feature a mix of Juicy’s big squeezed beats and New York’s classic house history.
