Paris Hilton Attemps To DJ… Again!!!
After a rather disastrous DJ debut at the Pop Music Festival in Brazil last month – over which ex-boyfriend Afrojack called her out for playing a pre-recorded set – the hotel fortune heiress everyone loves to hate, Paris Hilton, appears to have put all the negativity behind her and returned to the decks at a recent party in France, proving that you just can’t keep an annoying socialite down.
Paris ‘played’ the The Gotha Club in the glitzy resort of Cannes to a crowd of seemingly uninterested middle-aged men, knob-twiddling and fist-pumping her little heart out in a black and white tiger motif mini dress, black sunglasses (always an essential item in a dark nightclub), and an accessory no DJ should be without – fingerless gloves.
Despite Afrojack catching her out for miming in Brazil, Paris seems hell-bent on proving to the world that she’s the real deal. In an interview with Hello! Magazine last month, Hilton claimed that she had been practising non-stop prior to that debut set. “I’ve been training every day for six to eight hours for the past year,” she said. “I was up until 4am most nights, and then I had to change my set when I found out that it was going to be more of a pop crowd in Brazil, rather than a dance music crowd. On the jet out, I spent the entire flight reworking the whole thing.” As hard as that is to swallow, Paris still had more defence to spout, replying with this when the mag asked her if she had had any professional training: “DJ AM taught me how to DJ with vinyl almost ten years ago.” So if this is true and she is actually a bona fide vinyl spinner with old school cred, then why is that same curly haired dude who was with her on the decks in Brazil suspiciously popping up again in these photos from Cannes? Something smells fishy, Paris. And it ain’t the Whiskas we just used to feed the cat.
