Erick Morillo confirmed for Channel 4 Rave-Up!

Last week Mixmag reported on House Party, Channel 4’s six hour tribute to rave.

The programme, billed as a live, non stop party to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the legendary Castlemorton free party, will air on August 25 between midnight and 6am.

We can now reveal that Erick Morillo has been added to House Party’s DJ line-up, joining already confirmed Annie Mac and Grandmaster Flash.

Morillo began his career by dropping cuts on Strictly Rhythm and went on to superstardom after his 1993 smash ‘I Like To Move It’.

There’s no proof that Morillo ever lost his marbles in a field off the M25 during the heyday of acid house but he’s been in the game for two decades, so his addition to House Party looks like an interesting prospect.

We’ll bring you more news when we have it.
